Accounts and listings

We use your account email and profile to provide sign-in, account recovery and access to your workspace. We store your listing details and uploaded photographs to display and moderate listings. Approved listings and dealer profiles can be viewed by the public when public access is enabled. Only upload information and images you have permission to share.

Private sellers

Your account email stays private. Truck locations use suburb, state and postcode. A phone number is published only when you explicitly choose it and the listing is approved. Changing published contact details returns active listings for moderator review.

Enquiries

Your name, email, optional phone number and message are shared with the seller of the truck so they can respond. They are stored in that seller’s private enquiry inbox.

We record the time, consent version and enquiry reference. Abuse controls store keyed hashes instead of raw network addresses. Clicking “Call seller” records a button click, not proof that a call took place.

Website hosting, authentication, database, photograph storage and email services are provided through service providers including Netlify, Supabase and VentraIP. Email notifications are separate from saving an enquiry; a saved reference does not confirm that an email reached an inbox.

Listing reports

Reports collect a category and description for moderator review, without asking for your name, email or phone number. Do not include personal or sensitive information. Reports and moderation reasons are retained privately and are not shown to the seller or public.

Retention and deletion requests

Our normal retention periods are 12 months after closure for enquiries, closed listings and their photographs, and 24 months for reports and security/audit records. Account information is kept while the account is active. We review account deletion requests within 30 days; this is a review period, not a promise that every record can be removed within that time.

Retention is reviewed manually. We remove or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to unresolved disputes, legal holds and any requirement to retain it. Encrypted backup copies have a separate 30-day retention policy. Removing live information does not immediately remove it from an existing backup.

Questions and concerns

Contact support@usedtrucksales.com.au to ask what information we hold, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before providing account information or acting on a request. Do not email your password, authenticator codes or recovery keys.
